Good question GT.
IMO & in the event that there's a late scratching & somebody has selected that (as Steve says) K9.......the selection should revert immediately to the "Race Favorite".
Should there be "2" or more favorites (at closing time) in the chosen event, the K9 closest to the rails, is the ultimate choice and therefore substitutes the K9 that was chosen...and withdrawn.
Just my thoughts ;-)

Now now Grant , patience my friend. I was thinking any scratchings or late scratchings we could allocate 1/2 point 4 it but I'll put that out there 4 all the participants 2 vote on as this competition IS NOT ABOUT ME , its 4 everybody ok m8. So what does everybody think of that idea , folks ??? As 4 Group race bonus points , I am not a fan of that idea Grant as its just a Saturday night only competition , so if you want 2 make a selection of a certain K9 in a Group race on any particular Saturday meeting then go 4 it but no bonus points if you win or fill a hole. That's how I see it but we can also vote on that idea , so what do all you folks think of Grant's suggestion ???. I take it that you are a certain starter Grant , is that correct m8 ?

Hi Steve
The simpler the better, having run competitions before if you get into too much detail it goes no where.
The TAB has subs for late scratchings , these subs are already provided by the tab so its easy just to say ok you have a late scratching you can have the sub.
Example the meadows race nine today, the 4 was scratched and the 3 was put in as the sub..

Hi Tor, I agree the simpler the better.
In relation to the one months free banner advert Greyhound-Data are offering to the monthly winner, how would we select a single winner as I am sure there would be many that earn the same points for the month? Maybe the fist one to achieve the points wins? what do you guys think?

Hi Steve, Will members able to opt in at any time to win Greyhound-Data's monthly prize or should we scrap this and just have a prize for the winner?

Hey Tony , good 2 hear from you m8. As 4 a G.D monthly prize I'll leave that decision up 2 you champ as I believe it is yours 2 provide or not. I am easy with any decision you make as G.D coming on board with any prize was a added bonus that I never expected at all , so its your decision 2 make champ. I don't think anybody who will participate in this competition would worry either way you decide 2 choose. So I'll leave that executive decision in your hands ok m8. I'll stay tuned 4 your upcoming post bro.

Hi Steve, as we have a closing date it would make no sense to have a monthly prize to encourage new members to join along the way.
So GD will put up a banner advert naming the yearly winner "K9 tipster in GD World" as well as their own banner advert for 6 months.
Thanks for running the competition Steve it will be fun.
