Hi Steve my old mate J Mac has asked me to mention this to you regarding the winning selections seeing there is so many short priced favorites selected on top that place or win ..... a dog wins at 1.80 and pays 1.30 for the place wouldn't picking the winner be better off of also accruing the 1.30 for the place bet as a bonus also the sum would look like this
Win @ 8.00 and Pl @ 2.40 10 + 8 + 2.4 = 20.4 points 2nd = 6 + 2.4 = 8.4 points 3rd = 3 + 2.4 = 5.4 It's only a small twitch of the knob but to pick a winner is very hard at times and by making the win place part of the points score for the winner as the bonus would be quite sensible one to think about and still not too lat to implement
Thanks for pasting on John's suggestion Jo.
Yes I like the idea but imo it's a little late to be tweaking the rules. Also to adjust my program to except these bonus points would take time which I haven't got at the moment.
Please mention my suggestion again towards the end of the year (Dec) & if the comp is still a goer in 2018, we can all take a vote on it then.
Cheers Steve

Surprisingly, ladder leader after 12 weeks Greg Russell forgot to place his tips last week. Maybe it was as simply as that or possibly electronic problems, but can somebody who knows him check. I just found it strange when your leading a comp that you don't place your tips. Cheers.
