 any truth to the rumor that short course races are to be introduced
on thursday and saturday nights , must have something to do with the shortage of 500m dogs ?

Mick you cannot get a trial out of the 700 metre boxes at Sandown and when i see then allow this then i will let you know but as of today they say NO you cannot use the 700 metres boxes as a 300 metre run ....

I asked today at 730 this morning funny enough ...lol

As my dog needed a hit out after three months off after summer holiday and it would be handy to do it but hey if your dog cannot run 400 metre hand slip then you should not enter the hallowed gates at Sandown and i don't think they would be to keen on the idea buy hey Most Likely i could be wrong ..

Olympic park used to run sprints years ago as you know along with hurdle racing and my first experience as a young fella was watching dogs go over the hurdles at sandown ...

Those were the days Mick when you could go out rabbiting with your dogs and bring home a free feed but i guess with shortages of dogs to race anything is MOST LIKELY to happen ....

 Is there a shortage of 500m dogs? Or are trainers trying to avoid other trainers who have 30,40,50,60,70,80 plus dogs in their kennels and keep cleaning up week after week. I can only speak for yours truely and I try to avoid them as much as possible.
