Five starters in the final of the Peter Mosman-6 if you include the reserves.
Great Race Dog & now already a dominant Sire.

Fernando Bale has served the best bitches in Australia (Wheeler bred & Non Wheeler bred) which explains why he's such a successful sire , Fernando only seems to produce Top dogs with very good City / Group bitches only , put a dozen of those very good City / Group bitches he's served to other stud dogs like Banjo Boy , Hostile , Thirty Talks , Sulzanti , My Bro Fabio & El Grand Senor etc & you'd see similar results , not everybody has Top City & Group bitches to breed with , Fernando has had the easiest walk up the Stud ranks & it ain't hard for a Stud dog to succeed like Fernando at Stud when he's served the best bitches around.

Cheers Toby , in regards to Barcia Bale you're spot on mate , he's the Number 1 Sire IMO ( The measuring stick in the Sire ranks) & indeed fairly priced in our current climate.

Yes Fernando Bale got the good bitches but why is it because he is one of the greatest greyhounds to set foot on a Australian dog track who won group 1's and earned over 1.3 mil in prizemoney and the people that breed greyhounds want to produce one like him I suppose that's a good reason to use him,

Hi Barry ,
Yes everybody wants to crack a dog like Fernando Bale but as you know it's extremely hard ,not everyone has a Miss Splendamiro type of bitch to breed with Fernando Bale & he only seems to click with top City & Group bitches & I'm yet to hear of any talented Fernando Bale pups out of ordinary bitches & not everyone has $7k laying around for a straw.

If he was to go that high Mick, you'd want a written guarantee for around 5 or 6 pups to be whelped.

Fernando's currently averaging 7 + pups per litter which is well above average so it wouldn't be a problem.

Not for me though. I'll let it slide.

PS... agree Barry

Hi Colin ,
Glad you noticed I was humoring Barry LOL , seriously I'm 1 bloke that isn't interested in cracking a dog like Fernando Bale or would ever use him on any of my bitches even though I enjoyed watching him in action , I own a dog that beat both Fernando & DDO , I couldn't be more happier.

Yes i was probably wrong about this bloke, but did get a walk up start. I also went to Worth Doing, early on, big price, best looking litter i ever bred, garden slugs. $7000 + insemination + caesarian + needles = $10,000 +. and bear in mind greyhound racing in N.S.W will probably be rule-book and bye-lawed out in five years. Good luck to the connections, be honest , we would all do the same. For me , FABREGAS,FABIO, and MAGIC SPRITE would achieve the same results. The plus with the Fernando's, multi coloured and easier to rehome. Just keeping it real.

He comes with a contract but it has no pup guarantees in it
