i guess its also bad news for someone who had a miss , at the $5500 stud fee , he/ she gets a refund less 10% $5000 but if wants a replacement has to pay an extra $3300

BRETT you need to read up a little on T@Cs as they call them these days,
the terms and conditions on the website has been written by a Philadelphia lawyer lol

11.1.1. refund the Purchase Price to the Buyer:
11.1.1.1. less 10% if the Bitch is under the age of eight (8) years; or
11.1.1.2. less 50% if the Bitch is eight (8) years of age or more; or
alternatively
11.1.2. replace the Goods with:
11.1.2.1. a frozen semen breeding unit(s) from the same Stud Dog
provided that the said Stud Dog is alive and fertile and the cost
of such Goods has not increased since Delivery. If the cost of
such Goods has increased since Delivery then any such
replacement will be subject to the Buyer paying the difference
in value to the Seller;

As a breeder, I would love to use this dog. But Im not prepared to take out a personal loan to do It. He will have some beautifully bred sons at stud before too long, that will be my approach.
If I had a straw in the bank, and was waiting for my bitch to come on, I would be sweating bullets she didnt miss. And another price rise in that time !
Are these t&cs common place with most studs?

There you go ....I bought a FS at the beginning of the year & didnt even look at the above conditions ...wow...,we recently used it & the broodiie would be just under 8 when the litter is born (touch wood) ..........cant imagine not only not getting a replacement FS but also getting 50% taxed on paid amount if she was 8....its a disgrace...., where else in racing would they get away with that ...in thoroughbreds, its a replacement cover or funds back minus admins costs ...

Cheers

Poco Dorado runs 34.17 @ first run over 600m at Dapto - record is 34.09.

CLICK HERE
Most of the Fernando's racing are strong 500m dogs, don't think 600m will be an issue and later 700m as well for a percentage of them

Pretty awesome sire with pups effective from 400m to 700m

That's really interesting Sandro.

When I looked at Poco Dorado's pedigree you put up, I see Buddy Rich CLICK HERE is from this line.

Now if people want to look at the relationship between Buddy Rich's sire Hotshow Sam and Fernando's dam Chloe Allen CLICK HERE Chloe carries a niche that covers approx 88% of Sam's pedigree within 5 generations, and if you want to take it just a step further Awesome Assassin in Chloe's pedigree carries a niche that covers approx 88% of Highly Blessed in Sam's pedigree CLICK HERE (2 doses of Second Stage is included in the 7th generation of Awesome Assassin's pedigree and one dose of Second Stage in the 3rd generation of Highly Blessed), if you look at the table below the pedigree.

So in summary and getting back to Buddy Rich's sire Hotshow Sam, Fernando's dam Chloe Allen carries a niche that covers approx 97% of Sam's pedigree within 7 generations which is extremely high. It's becoming increasingly apparent that this type of intensity is evident in quite a few superior racers.

Unfortunately this replicating of sires thru different individuals that have been previously successful with a broodies damline, appears to be happening more by 'genetic chance' than calculated planning.
