The 2nd Chance Forget Rule
If a member forgets to place their tips by the 7.00pm cut-off time, they have two option since we're now living in the 21 century & have everything at our fingertips.
OPTION 1. (a). Members can still place a selection, but only on the LAST RACE for that night, provided it's placed 5 minutes before the starting time. (b). Regarding Group Races, yes you can still place your tip(s) on Group races provided theyre placed 5 minutes before the starting time of the FIRST Group race, otherwise, NONE of your Group selections will count.
OPTION 2. If option 1 still hasn't been exercised, that member will be awarded 4 points for that week, but only for a maximum of no more than 4 times throughout the year. Once those 4 chances have been spent, that member will receive ZERO points for the remainder of the season, should they forget to place their tips again.
Please check your individual score. If there's an error, please alert me & I'll fix it asap.

Sure is Mark.
After 49 weeks & with one week to go, it could go either way.
I'll state it now so everybody knows....if anybody next week, wants to change their tips because somebody has tipped the same selection, you are allowed to change it provided its done before 7pm.
It's been a Great competition, good sportsmanship by all....Reminds me of the good old days.
Well done to everybody involved including all our sponsors & donators of prizes.

Great job running it Steve. Anyone in top 5 could win it. Who will take a risk? As I don't think a favorite will be enough

Thx Tony & Dean.
Yes, it's time consuming but I enjoy doing it.
As long as the competitiveness exists, I don't mind donating my time to running this comp.
I've been thinking....If it continues next year, it would be good if everybody contributed say $50 Australian (maybe less..I'm not sure) to join.
A breakdown, from the pool of $$$$ & prizes, would then encourage everybody to be FAIR-DINKUM & not drop-out mid or towards the end of year.
If we put our hand in our pocket, the comp maybe taken more seriously.
This is just a thought as I need encouragement myself, due to those that have dropped out during the year & have lost nothing because they have contributed nothing.
Merry Xmas everybody, Steve

That's a thought Steve. Another one for next year would be to make the last meeting one where you had to pick a dog in every race. Now that would certainly open it up and give those not doing so well a chance of winning.

I'd be happy with that Tony. Maybe leave it up to the discretion of the moment....But I like it.

I wouldn't mind paying that either. How about doing Shelbourne Park every 3 week or something. Try get some more from Ire /UK to join in on the fun.
