Batfair is currently down for "scheduled maintenance" until approx midnight....

Given that this is the Aussie version of the site wouldn't it make more sense to shut down during the morning or on a sunday for example when there isn't any local racing?

It's tantamount to doing roadworks on a freeway in peak hour.

Just plain stupid!

Nick,

I was a courier for 15 years so I feel your pain! That's why I made the association. At least with a road crew of 10-20 blokes there are significant savings to be made by working during the day.

How many geeks would Betfair have "upgrading" the site? 1? Maybe 2? Pay them the overtime and do it after hours. They would make back 10 times that just from their commision from the nights' gambling.

Looks like it's Global....

We're probably their smallest market so they've timed it to screw us only? :P

As Australian users take up possibly 5% of their customer base, the UK based, global company, scheduled it's maintenance for Midnight (UK time) so unfortunately we miss a Mondays racing here.
