A quick little number crunch came up with these percentages:

Turnover

NSW VIC

Thor. 66.85 Thor. 66.85
Grey. 20.56 Grey. 19.03
Har. 12.58 Har. 14.10

It is amazing that greyhounds have nearly doubled harness' turnover in NSW. What NSW greyhounds could do with that extra 6% of turnover.

This is a great result, I assume its for the 1st half of the financial year 1 July to 31 December.
The important thing for us is that not only is greyhound wagering significantly higher than Harness Racing but it is the only code to increase its revenue - NSW 9.4%, and Vic 10.4%.
This further excarbates the issue of the Tri Code Distribution Agreement and its inequities.
Lets hope Tabcorp and the incoming Minister for Sport (Souris?)recognise that.
More fuel to the fire.
Perhaps now SKY racing will give us the coverage we deserve and reverse the Harness bias.
