This is the racing posts guide 7.40: It is probably best to overlook Droopys Gregs (T6) run in the Sussex Cup semi-final as he missed the break and took a hefty bump at the first bend. He might be able to get the better of his opponents this evening if steering clear of trouble but that is far from guaranteed. Holy Ground (T3) was knocked out of the Sussex Cup in the first round but he is better than he showed on that occasion and he could pose a threat but a tentative vote is awarded to BALLYMAC WELL (T2). Pat Rosneys dog looked an unlucky loser in his Sussex Cup semi-final, behind Droopys Oscar, and he is entitled to go close here. Rayvin Neasa (T4) should not be overlooked but Hallucination (T5) and Dalcash Scolari (T1) both need to raise their game a notch or two to make an impact. 8.00: This contest hinges on BLONDE FLETCH (T4). Mark Wallis representative won the Grand Prix at Sunderland earlier this month and he ran out an impressive winner of the Regency over this track and trip earlier this year. He should take plenty of beating. Blue Bee (T3) is a useful stayer but she has a little bit to find with the favourite whereas the progressive Hee Haws Montana (T2) was impressive at Kinsley last week but needs to raise his game to land this. Pams Paulian (T6), Brunspink Nod (T1) and Wise Signal (T5) all appear to have a mountain to climb. 8.15: Some very exciting prospects take each other on in a fascinating Puppy Final. A case can be made for all of them but the one who makes most appeal is MAIREADS HAWK (T2). Chris Allsopps Westmead Hawk bitch never saw another rival in her semi-final, achieving the best time of the round in the process, and she will be hard to peg back if getting to the front again. Farloe Mysterio (T6) finished runner-up to her in the semis and he could be in the shake-up here along with Farloe Ironman (T4) and Fabulous Affair (T5), who were separated by just half a length in their semi-final. Farloe Kraven (T3) got the better of Droopys Ulick (T1) in the other semi and, although they have a little bit to find on the clock, it would be churlish to rule them out completely. 8.35: 2010 Greyhound of the Year JIMMY LOLLIE (T2) is unbeaten in three runs since returning from injury and he looked back to something like his scintillating best when trouncing Tictac Gold (T6) in the heats last week. Bucks Yahoo (T3) edged out Soldatino (T4) in the heats and he could pose the biggest threat to Seamus Cahills speedball ahead of Me Buddy (T1) and Ceroc Flash (T5). Soldatino (T4) is not totally out of it but he will probably need a little bit of luck to win. Tictac Gold (T6) would be a shock winner. 8.50: It was somewhat surprising that Lottes Girl (T6) was reeled in by BLACK REASON (T3) over 844 metres at Kinsley last week. She looked sure to deliver when hitting the front but she appeared to hang fire on the run in and Colin Selfs Crash bitch snatched victory on the line. It would be unfair to suggest that Lottes Girl is not one to trust but there is no reason to suggest that Kinsley form was a fluke so it could pay to take her on. Capel Baby Shoes (T5) stayed on nicely for fourth behind the aforementioned duo last week and this test should suit so she can make her presence felt. Aero Gaga (T2), Air Force Donna (T1) and Perles Orchid (T4) have their work cut out on paper but it would not be the biggest surprise to see Paul Youngs dog run a big race for a long way. 9.10: Kelly Findlays BUSH WHITNEY (T6) was very impressive when winning her heat last week and a reproduction of that effort would make her very tough to beat. She showed a fine turn of foot to reel in Little Flame (T1) and, as long as she can negotiate a clear passage through the early stages, she should collect first prize. Borna Jessica (T4) and Spicy Lass (T2) look set to take each other on for the early lead and, in doing so, they could make life difficult for Tenters Bell (T3) and Little Flame (T1). Darfin Katie (T5) is a useful sort and she could go well at a big price. 9.25: BOWER HAWK (T6) was narrowly denied by Blonde Fletch in the Grand Prix at Sunderland and Pat Rosneys son of Westmead Hawk is a rather frustrating customer but he has talent in abundance and he really should take plenty of beating against these rivals. That said, Vivas Reason (T5) is progressing well and she could be in the shake-up whilst Saveourstow Lass (T3), Crash Bandit (T2) and Penskey Rain (T6) are all capable of playing a leading role if putting their best foot forward. Capel Yankee (T1) is also capable on his day and he could run better than his price might suggest. 9.45: Pennys Viking (T5) has rock solid claims on the form of his semi-final defeat of WESTMEAD MALDINI (T1) but Dean Childs dog faces competition for the lead here and the race could be run to suit Nick Savvas dog. Longwood Days (T4), Jaytee Tiger (T2) and Snowdon Flyer (T3) are all likely to vie for the early lead, which could cause trouble for Pennys Viking, whereas Maldini will be happy to track the early speed before delivering his challenge in the second half of the contest. Guinness Hawk (T6) will be running on strongly in the closing stages and this could be quite messy so he is not ruled out.
