Liam Barrett passed away peacefully tonight. Extending heartfelt condolences at this difficult time to his wife Eileen and all the family.

Liam was a lifelong member of the Crohane & Killenaule Coursing Club, putting in a power of work to get the meetings up and running each year. He also attended many other local meetings and the National meeting through out the years. His greatest moment on the track was when he owned Lindas Champion which won the Irish Greyhound Derby Forty years ago, trained by his son Michael who was twenty one at the time. He was a great GAA player and supporter as he attended many GAA All Ireland Hurling and Football finals without missing one in many years.
Liam you were a great character, you will be sadly missed by your family and many friends.

May you Rest In Peace.
