ABOUT Coolavanny Bert
	Ante-favorite and Finalist in the 2012 English Derby after winning 3 heats . Finished 3rd after first bend trouble . Winner of The Henlow Puppy Derby and recorded calc. 27.09 and 27.10 remaining unbeaten in the competition . The TR was 27.08 then held by Taylors Sky . Runner up in The Sussex Puppy Cup doing 29.51 in the process from a poor draw Trap 5 . Shattered the Sittingbourne 480m TR by 25 spots at 21 months of age clocking 28.50 . Was 5 lengths in front in his heat of the William Hill Classic when fav to win the competition at Sunderland when he suffered a badly broken hock . Bert made a full recovery to win more Open races after a long absence from the track . In between that period he suffered a stress fracture of his tibia from which he made a full recovery also. A truly wonderful and remarkable hound in every respect. In his first two litters ,one in Ireland and another England, two pups look so outstanding that I purchased them for myself . He now has about 100 pups on the ground . So far he has served around 25 or so bitches for breeders which include Nick Savva , Liam Dowling and Noel Browne . Just had a litter of 10 to 130 rated marathon star Lottes Girl and 130 rated lady Storm Pockets, due to give birth very soon . Bert is attracting some very nice ladies .

	Track record holder Sittingbourne 28.50 for 480m trip. Derby Finalist 3rd in 2012 in which he started ante post fav . Henlow Puppy Derby winner unbeaten . Juvenile Invitation entrant for the six best pups in 2012 . Sussex Puppy Cup Runner-up .Fav for the William Hill Classic in which he broke his hock . As a pup Bert recorded a rating of 135 and most certainly would have raised that mark had the broken hock not intervened .

	Progeny
	The two best at the moment are Coolavanny Gooch and Moors Matilda both March 13 whelps . Future champions injury permitting . Gooch ,a 35 kilo unfurnished pup, won at his 3rd attempt in tough A6 Henlow and Matilda was unlucky in her A5 Henlow debut under lights. A certainty to win in two more races time when drawn red and a little more experience . Gooch did a 3.72 split and thats top class even for an 18 month old pup. Wont see the best of Gooch till hes two and a half years old .GOOCH won again last week and clocked 27.57 over 460 at Henlow with a 3.69 split and thats Derby class. 20 MONTHS OLD is this pup . Gooch won his first Open race at Henlow in 27.76 last time out . Definitely a contender for next years English Derby . Gooch now won 6 from 9 with 3 being Open class wins . Matilda did 16.62 sprint trial at Henlow after recovering from the cough . Flying for a pup !! Next time out did a very quick 27.59 when winning by 6 lengths over 460m at Henlow . Gooch wins his 4th Open race when leading all the way in the Cat 2 Final at Henlow at Xmas recording a terrific 27.43 with a 3.68 split .Thats his 7th win from his last 8 starts . Trapping ability and early pace is his forte . Exceptional pup is Gooch in Henlow RM Paul Mellors opinion . Matilda destroys a field by nearly 5 lengths in an A3 despite being raised two grades, coming from behind in 27.72 . Super run for a pup !! She then goes on to win a Maiden 550 at Henlow in 33.73 . A real good pup by Bert just been sold to the biggest owner in the sport ,Mr Jaytee , John Turner . The dog is named at present , Flawless Spirit . Just won his first two heats of the Kilkenny Champion Unraced for John Kennedy . The dog is now with Paul Hennessey renamed  Jaytee Pharoah .  Another dog from the same Olygirl  litter is also destined for top honours and his name is Believe and trained by Owen McKenna .

	Owners/ Stud masters recommendation
	If you want early pace Bert is the dog . Stays 480 top pace as his superb TR of 28.50 at Sittingbourne on Normal going proves .    Bert has also won over 515 Hove clocking 29. 51  when only a pup .

Robert Pendall has used Bert 4 times on 3 bitches and Nick Savva has just come back for a repeat mating with Westmead Sula . Nicks first litter of eight , Nov 13 whelps , have  won 30  races already .
