	Fortified Rush is now standing with John Carruthers at stud alongside Brett Lee and Bond at Journey Park in Sydney, Australia. Highly respected US Greyhound Review journalist Stan Pawloski rates Fortified Rush as one of the all-time greats at Wheeling Downs. "I had the pleasure of watching Fortified Rush break in at Wheeling Downs and climb the ladder to Grade AA. In short, he was one of the best I've ever seen at Wheeling and I've seen many. A quick look at his career numbers leaves no doubt to his greatness. Rush was a rail runner, probably ran the rail like few others here at Wheeling. He also had an aggressive side to him, he knew where he wanted to go and he was going to get there. Just a very, very fast dog ... if his pups are half as good, you will have some good ones". Wheeling is regarded as the toughest track in the USA where the best greyhounds compete week-in, week-out for the highest prizemoney of any US track. From 94 starts there Rush won 58 races, the first 50 of which were from only 71 starts. No other Wheeling great matches his 62% win or 92% "on the paysheet" strike rates. Rush won Wheeling's major annual stakes series, the Spring Classic Championship. Rush made it to grade AA after only 7 race starts and was never out of AA grade in his remaining 87 starts there. After winning 19 of his first 24 starts Rush was invited into the 2000 US Invitational Race of Champions held at Wichita d?r=18797 Rush was a very good beginner with an excellent rush to the first turn. His ability to hold the rail around the first and home bends was unrivalled during his career at Wheeling. In his 94 starts there no other dog won in faster time than Rush. Rush's dam Grey's Arizona has also thrown Wheeling AA winners to Oswald Cobblepot(Grey's Sneakers) and Fortress(Grey's Aristocrat). His litter sisters have also been quality producers in the US. 	Performance
	Fortified Rush had 97 starts over a 23 month career. At Wheeling Downs he had 94 starts for 58 wins, 9 seconds, 12 thirds and 8 fourths. His first 50 wins there were from only 71 starts. He had win streaks of 12 and 11 in a row. He made AA grade after only 7 starts and never raced out of AA/Stakes grade for the remainder of his race career(90 more starts). He also raced at Wichita in the 2001 Invitational Race of Champions, and had two unplaced runs at Hollywood in preparation for the World Classic series but did not come up after injury and was spelled.

	Progeny
	Rush has produced sub-30 second performers over 500m plus events in the USA, Australia and New Zealand. He has thrown city winners, feature race winners, group race finalists and Australian trackrecord breakers. Those record runs were in actual races, not trials or qualifying heats. The most impressive performance to date was the debut run on 13 December 2006 of Vickerman Bale over 472m at Bulli, Australia's premier speed track. He won by 7.5 lengths in 26.36. No other first-starter has run quicker there. The run compares with other brilliant debuts by From a Distance(26.47), Bitability Bale(26.49), Mottram(26.52) and Bond(26.68). Paul Barnes, Bulli's racing manager for many years, was very enthusiastic after Vickerman Bale remained unbeaten in 4 starts "he's as good a pup as I've seen, he's come from impossible positions to win and at that age they just don't do what he has" Of all imported sires currently available to Australian breeders Fortified Rush has sired the most Australian winners in 2006-07. Accurate and verified figures from all Australian sources have been maintained since 1st Sep 2006 in which time Rush has sired 144 Australian winners, which is substantially more than his nearest available import competitor. He has averaged 16% of all winners by foreign sires(both locally based and from imported semen) during this period.   In the first 3 months of 2007 he clearly leads the list of available city winning import sires with 8 which is 15.7% of his total 2007 winners.
