About the KennelStud DogsBroodsBreeding Successes

To achieve the below stats. Only bred/purchased one or two times a year and have had some nice success over the years.

Current stats are bred/purchased:-

15 litters for $1.3 million in prize money...av $86,000 / litter.

Bred and purchased numerous City and Group class greyhounds the likes of:-

Current star greyhound De Ferran 31 starts 18-2-2; PM $105,000; 2022 Easter Maiden @ Grafton, finalist G1 Gold Bullion etc. broke the unofficial 531m track record at Bundaberg. Running 29.85 - eclipsing the time set by Hello Mike of 29.94. Then officially broke the track record (29.71). Winning the Bundaberg Cup Consolation. Litter has won $383,170 to date.

Frieda Las Vegas multiple feature race winner of $125,000 litter won $220,000

Kalden Fury G3/multiple feature race winner of $300,000

City Of Sydney Gold Coast Stayers Cup; G1 runner up and multiple G1 finalist $115,000

Merchant Navy 25 starts 10-4-1 PM $30,000; injury never allowed us to see the very best of him. However, watch him thrash QLD GOTY Orchestrate and have no favours against Jungle Deuce in torrential rain and knee deep in water.

And a host of Sandown, Meadows, Wentworth Park, Albion Park City winning greyhounds:-

Hopeful Lash
Parcero Hope
Bergamo,
Nurburg
Pennybacker
Magic Manbo
etc.

Future planned matings for 2023/24:-

Black Magic Opal x Pennybacker

Wow x Instafamous (whelped)

No Easy Beat x Ballinderry Girl

Aston Rupee x Hopeful Lash

Fernando Bale x Dragonfly Diva

Droopys Sydney x Frieda Las Vegas

Have a real passion for breeding and bloodlines. Purchased English Oaks winner Droopys Hope after a failed litter to Sparta Maestro and bred Group 1 Gymcrack finalist Riverside Escape. Then imported Droopys Hope to Australia and bred star bitch Frieda Las Vegas.

Tried to buy Nicki Fields, before she won a city race. Fair play to the owner for not selling! Recommended Barcia Bale for her to the owner...result - fastest dog of his generation, Sandown track record holder Hooked On Scotch.

Leased brood Fancy Blonde off Global Greyhounds classifieds after a failed litter to Royal Assassin and bred Kalden Fury (PM $300,000).

Purchased @ 3 months of age star bitches MLadys Fool & City Of Sydney. Tragically lost City Of Sydney, before able to breed a litter from her.

Bred MLadys Fool to Token Prince (April, 2003) in her first litter, for only 2 pups. Lost the dog @ 6 months from a paddock accident. Though 100% blood relation From A Distance (Nov. 2004) later came along to vindicate the sire choice. As did the likes of Yaroun Express (1998) & Classy Customer (Jan 2002).

However, learnt a valuable lesson breeding MLadys Fool - outcross blood is a vital ingredient to breeding overly inbred bitches. Unfortunately at the time of MLadys Fool, imported sires and frozen semen were in their very infancy. Fortunately imported frozen semen for Droopys Maldini (IRE) became available and bred the very fast Droopys Fool from her.

My best advice to any breeder starting off, is know your bloodlines exceptionally well, never compromise on pedigree...all sires whether commercial or non-commercial, were elite race dogs and results will follow.

Good luck and good breeding!
