Maudabawn Kennels is set in the rolling hills of County Cavan,Ireland, the county which has 365 lakes (one for every day of the year)
Having raced our own dogs in Dublin for over twenty years we decided to move to Cavan and we purchased 7 acres with the intention of getting more into the breeding side of the business.
We keep a small kennel of Racers,Broods and pups.
There is currently room for 2 racedogs and we can race at Drumbo , Dundalk , Longford , Mullingar , Shelbourne and Harolds X. In other words...have dog...will travel! My preference is Dundalk as it is a good galloping track and it is great for scooling new pups.
We have room for 8 racedogs and two whelping kennels and have just whelped a litter of 6 pups(5 dogs and 1 bitch) on the 15th May 2009 and have been asked by the owner to rear these until 12 months.
We have 2 100m x 40m runs and a paddock of 5 acres. We are currently building a gallop which when finished will be about 350 yards uphill.
No expense is spared with our dogs as we believe that to have the best...you must give them the best. Its as simple as that!We give our pups full attention.
