We at Ratchies kennels try to offer our dogs, let its be race dogs, saplings,young pups or new borns the best possable chance to fullfill a succesfull race career.We try to breed from the very best lines the games has to offer to ensure our dogs have the best chance to be as good and as fast as possible. We try to keep our numbers low so that each dog gets the required attention to again be as succesfull a possible. We have 3 broods at present in which we are lucky to have produced plenty of winners.Plenty of winners means happy owners and building a trust with clients and owners is what we try to achieve.And have achieved over the last few years.Honesty is or policy! We also rear saplings for owners trying to maintain a professional standard allowing an open walk in polocy and encourage all owners the option to interact with there own dogs as often as time allows them. We also have a small race kennel in which we have been fortunate enough to pick up a few trophys along the way keeping a satisfactory standard of dogs in the process. We try to learn more on a day to day basis and offer our dogs the best of grub.A happy standard of life let it be walking,galloping,swimming,trialing or racing. We at ratchies kennels enjoy greyhound racing as a hobby and not a way of living.So if u like what u see and are encouraged by the job we do feel free to get in touch if u require a well bred pup,sapling or race dog as up and dwn we do have dogs for purchase.
We can also whelp down litters for owners if needs be. Our kennels consist of. * 3 race kennels in which we hold a maximum of 6 race dogs. * 5 open kennels in which we hold saplings that are schooling before going into full racing careers.Or warm kennels for saplings out in the paddocks if the weather is rough or for injured or resting dogs. * 1 large whelping kennels closed of from other kennels with double size kennel for mother and puppies. *4 spacious paddocks varying in size used for small pups saplinngs and a paddock for race dogs to get out and empty when the sun shines. * 1 onsite grass gallop where we encourage our pups to learn to run amd use themselves. * 1 large sawdust gallop we have access to for our racers and saplings getting ready to race. 1 ideal area in which we swim our dogs to freshing up our dogs help any stiffness or niggles. *1 2 dog walker *1 porta mag *1 ultra sound machiene.
