HOLLYOAK STUD KENNELS

Our kennels, located in the village of Fethard in Ireland's County Tipperary, sits in amazing surroundings with 16 acres of land surrounding it. The purpose built kennels have paddocks right next to them and the greyhounds are let out regular for a change from their kennel. The kennels also have extremely large grass paddocks where the greyhounds can just run and run. The kennels are also equipped with a gallop where the greyhounds can be trained and keep fit. We are also in easy access to all of the major greyhound stadiums.

Hollyoak Breeders was set up in February 2002. Since then the complex has grown from strength to strength. Our team currently in Ireland keeping on top of the day to day running of the kennels consists of stud manager Gary Harding and assistant Steve, along with part time staff helping out throughout the week.

Gary Harding, before he joined us, was a professional trainer in Norfolk for over 20 years. Whilst in the racing side of greyhounds, he had several major racing successes. These included the likes of Blue Merlin. When the kennels were set up in 2002, Gary decided that he had seen the best days of racing and decided to steer his career into the breeding direction. Gary has been with us since day one contributing his vast knowledge into the setup of the kennels and now we are able to offer an extraordinary establishment.

Assistant, Steve, joined Hollyoak Breeders in early 2004 and also has a vast knowledge of greyhounds and rearing.

Our on-site bungalow has four bedrooms and excellent facilities. Anyone who is seriously interested in dealing with us is more than welcome to fly out to Ireland for an overnight stay at our complex to exlore the setup and see for yourself how much we have to offer.

Set in an amazing 16 acres of the Irish countryside, our facilities boast large kennels. There are also concrete paddocks attached to the back of the kennel blocks, so the pups can go out at their leisure. The grass paddocks, as you can see below, never seem to end. Each paddock also has its own kennel shelter.

The grass paddocks are in excess of 200-250 metres long and around 75 metres wide. All of the paddocks are surrounded with 6ft chain link fencing and a 6ft high perimiter fence around the entire 16 acre plot.

The Hollyoak kennels are very well secured and, for that piece of mind, the stud manager, Gary Harding and his assistant, live on-site so the pups are never left unattended.
