The "Mucky Kennels" are a purpose buit rearing & training facility developed in 2006 by Don & Gerard Buckley.

Located at Carriganine , Macroom , Co. Cork. on a 15 acre site the kennels feature:

- A 360 Yard All Weather Gallop With A Gradual Rise
- Racing Kennels all with their own turn out pins
- Treatment Room
- American Style Rearing Paddocks 350 yards long
- Purpose Built Kitchen & Feeding Room
- Over head Apartment

The kennels are managed by James Kelleher who now holds a public trainers license.

James only started in the kennels in January 2007 & Won The Top Private Trainer For 2007 at Curaheen Park 32 Winners From 111 Runners!".

What a year 2008 was for James & The Mucky Kennels - Took 2 Bitches to Powerstown Park for the Oaks , Mucky Blackie & Sullane Sign , Both Got Through To The Last 8 In The Oaks With Sullane Sign (owned by James in partnership with Christy Lucey) Going On To Win The Oaks !Sullane Sign was subsequently named as "Coursing Bitch Of The Year".Mucky Blackie subsequently won 3 All Ale Bitch Stakes in the '08/'09 season & qualified for the Champion Bitch Stake in Clonmel.

November '09 was a good month for James , as well as selling his "Super Pup" Southwind Bob to Paul Hennessy for a large five figure sum (now Barefoot Bullet)he also won the Oaks Trial Stake in Cappoquin with Southwind Molly who became the first pup out of Sullane Sign to qualify for Clonmel.
