Such terrible news. Incredibly sad for his family, friends and for the industry as a whole. Tragically I have a feeling it will take his passing, for us to truly understand what an impact he has made and what incredibly wise forward thinking genius he really was. RIP PAW

I echo all of the statements above, he was the best of the best in breeding and is irreplaceable...my condolences to his family and friends.

So sad to hear of the passing of Paul Wheeler. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I had the good fortune to meet Mr Wheeler years ago in Abilene, Kansas. Top class, the industry has lost one of the greatest.

We have lost a true pioneer of our industry. If it wasn't for his expertise, vision, dedication, investment in the greyhound industry & willingness to take risks on his own judgements there would be quite a substancial amount of people who would never have or had a super greyhound in their kennel & his bloodlines both male & female 100% prove that without any shadow of a doubt. A lot of participants owe him & his family a debt of gratitude for his lifetime of hard work. My families sincerest condolences go out to the Wheeler family. R.I.P.

I just watch the tribute to PAW on "the catching pen". SERIOUSLY have tears coming out of my eyes. As i "truly" feel indebted to him for the industry we have today.

Ok, thankyou anyway. Imho statue's of PAW should be placed at every city track in Australia. That's how much influence he has had on the industry. An "immortal figure".
