The new 2 lane " puppy run" being constructed at Richmond is extremely well built, pity is, it's about 80 mtrs long in total! Tried to find out who was responsible for this, to no avail. No way in the world could you risk slipping a race dog in what is no more than a short puppy run. The original slipping track, usually poorly maintained was always a risk. I believe the new straight track ( built on the old slipping track) will be in place by next March. Once again, just treated like dills. Anyone know anything???

Hi Russ
I rang the club the other day with concerns about the straight track. To the President's credit he rang me back and did say they were going to try and get the straight in better condition. There's diverts , patches of no grass and dogs are now running back down the track inside the plastic barricade now in place. Mate I had a few of these working sand straights and if you don't keep up the sand and continue levelling them get ready for blown toes, and the way the current str8 is maintained good luck with that.
Cheers
