Kevin , he is the gene pool. Once sires disappear from the stud scene their genes can only be diluted from that time on. Dogs may be getting quicker but we can lose some of the other desired traits by diluting the gene pool. Tracks are also getting quicker, dogs are kept in much more modern facilities both at home and at the track. Scientifically blended vitamins and minerals and other products are more readily available to the trainer these days.Many things have changed over the years that I believe help achieve these results. JMO. Cheers
