Last night was a red letter night for this sire as he featured heavily in the pedigree of the winners of 2 Group races

Flying Ricciardo - The Group 1 Megastar winner beating Australian Greyhound of the Year Simon Told Helen

CLICK HERE
Flying Stanley is the grandsire of his dam via another great performer and underused stud dog the recently deceased Glen Gallon

Sentenced - brilliant winner of the Group 2 Queensland Derby

CLICK HERE
He is by Jury (by underrated sire Cosmic Chief) out of Velocity Spice a city winning daughter of Bekim Bale

Flying Stanley appears in the pedigree of Jury who has started off his stud career very well with 2 handy litters both by bred by his owner Steve Williams

The connection to Tony Brett is even more ironic as not only was Sentenced trained by him but his granddam Velocity Zoom was a sister to Glen Gallon who was also by trained him

Whats interesting is that Glen Gallon is by Flying Stanley is out of a daughter of Bombastic Shiraz

Flying Stanley as everyone is probably aware is the dam sire of upwardly mobile sire Zambora Brockie who ironically is by Nitro Burst, a son of Bombastic Shiraz, who is already the sire of some Group winning greyhounds in Australia

Flying Stanley as we know was a great USA race dog but he himself was a moderately performed sire however his genetics are certainly shining through in 2nd & 3rd generations when combined with our leading lines of Bombastic Shiraz, Brett Lee and Head Honcho

Coming from the great Irish damline of Maythorn Pride tracing back to Millie's May, it's little wonder he is proving to be a major influence down the track
