Hello, I appoligise if there is a topic already on this but when does breeding back to a common female or females go to far?

I have noticed recently the very sucessful doubling of gold rush bale and elusive rebel in multiple group dogs, eg Stanley road

https:/ CLICK HERE
when does this become to much? say could you breed back 3 times to gold rush bale?

Thanks for your opinions

These are about 4 weeks old

Dam has a fair bit out of outcross via Sonic Flight and Gable La Fourche and an Irish tail line

In near future n
Good clients of mine are planning on this double 18.8% blood of GWT, Princess Bale
Graham open minded with 18.8% but this pedigree grabs me.
I reckon Jack O will also love this pedigree

https:/ CLICK HERE

Brad. Too much IMO is when the blood quota is too high %
I see Stanley Road and Sandros pups are 18.8% Gold Rush Bale

SA champion Coorong Lucy has Little Looper up close on both sides. Both sire WorM Burner and dam Molly be Nimble are out of Little Looper. Rest of litter unremarkable.

IMHO, I think if you are going to go with that hard linebreeding you need to bring in suitable outcross blood to expand the pedigree a bit

Stanley Road also carrying two lines of outcross via Sonic Flight and Spiral Nikita

The named pups on Greyhound-Data from the litter all seem to have their fair share of ability over varying distances with Stanley Road being the stand out

Raymond superstar racer Proven Wizard(by Awesome Assassin) was from that line.

If you look at the niche or extremly close relationship between AA and Worm Burners sires dam Leprechaun Pace https:/ CLICK HERE , Leprechaun Pace is reintroducing an extremely high percentage(88%) of AA through different individuals back into the same damline.

Leprechaun Pace did the dame thing with Loopers damline to produce Worm Burner.

If the niche clicks it produces quality with that particular damline, if it doesn't......

We speak a lot Graham, so I am interested in your opinion on the double up to Go Wild Teddy. I personally have heard doubling up on he within the first 3-4 generations, most of the time the progeny are very very hard to handle and over the top. I know it has worked with some good dogs running around with that cross, but Im wondering if the bad, really outweighs the good in this situation.

Also line breeding Head Honcho did very well when breeding with bitches with outcross blood

As did Go Wild Teddy himself

Hi Jak
2x4 GWT I think in this pedigree is good, Barcia throws mainly good temperament race dogs. His litter sister I assume will do the same because PAW wont breed with fruit loop bitches, but I dont really know for certain 100%
I think this pedigree line bred to GWT / Princess Bale with USA outcross sire line on top is real good. Plus Sandman sire strains Spiral Nikita, Farloe Melody, Grove Whisper will add to the vigor factor. Barcia 3rd & 4th gen on damline is out cross sires mentioned Sandman strains. IMO there is plenty of outcross to bolster heavy line breeding of GWT & Princess Bale

Not surprising considering HH was 37.5 % Temlee and 18.8% Tara Silk !!!

I forgot to mention DDO Damline Bomb Threat USA & Curryhill Brute adding more outcross.
Orson X DDO bitch is serious consideration for breeders IMO
For example a hypothetical

Yes love it chase ,chase and chase Gwt through the sire and a bitch.
I really like OA , Like his breeding. IMHO breeders need to look at sires that have out cross blood. And sire that will provide chase. A lot of breeders go to a commercial sire , and have far to much red print ,instead of getting that out cross blood in their lines. Cheers jack

4th remove is too far back to be a major influence. Further back the more diluted.

Nice cross Graham. 18.8% is ok but 25% is the ideal from what my studies over the years have showed me.
