Same here Jack.
When I see 6 paragraphs in an ad, I know it's written by a salesman.

And when I see in excess of 22000+ postings on GD forum topics between two users, the irony of "never ending stories" as posted by Jack is far from lost on me. Lol.

Sorry - we now return you to regular scheduled programming.

It's okay we live in twitter/sms and short sharp topic times. Cosmetics trumps content - Style beats Substance. I get it. I've exceeded my character limit anyway, gotta run now as I certainly got nothing to sell and kept my reply to four paragraphs. Even then I wonder about the attention span of modern society. 140 character limits should be the law. That'll also eliminate freedom of expression too so everyone can just agree with one another going forward. Society will finally be dumb and peaceful.

Yes let's mandate how ads are posted and what people would say - good idea. I would've thought the more people said about their dogs probably the more reasons you wouldn't buy it and it's probably doing them a dis-service, and saves you a phone call to ask redundant questions and texts they'll get sick of replying to. But to each their own hey. I appreciate content and details from posters or advertisers. It may be old school and out of vogue but seriously the devil's in the details so I appreciate those that take the time to write passionately about their hounds provided what they write is truthful and accurate. Lack of clarity causes more disputes in my world experience (greyhounds and beyond) than detail and content ever has. Snake-oil salesman thrive on ambiguity in my life experiences.

3 ways to get information before buying a pup.

1. Ring up the breeder and ask questions about bloodlines.
2. Read a long detailed ad and trust its accuracy.
3. Do your own research.

I've never done 1 or 2.
