A son of Fernando Bale at stud here in Tasmania, without knowing a great deal about his damline seems like the two sires in the recent past being Malfoy and Dashing Corsair had a lot of strength.

What do people think his pedigree will bring to the breeding game in comparison to other sons of Fernando?

This girl will give him a visit when she is done racing.

My mistake, Dashing Corsair not being in Spanish Dance direct damline but sired by Malfoy who is.

Zipping Kyrgios will be next in line from the damline to go to stud you would expect.

That looks to be such a simple question but my answer is anything but that. The way I look at pedigrees Simon, unless Millie Grace can saturate a sire that was successful previously with any future broods damline, it wont be any different to any son of Fernando as Chloe Allen is likely bring the damline intensity to the table.

For example Chloe Allen carries different individuals whose pedigrees covers 94% of Brett Lee's pedigree within 6 gens https:/ CLICK HERE . The only 2 dogs who aren't covered in the 6th gen of Brett Lee's ped by these different individuals in Chloe Allen's ped are Wandering Cloud's dam Minute Valley and Osti Two's dam Little Gorgeous. In summary, 30 of the 32 dogs in the 6th gen of Brett Lee's pedigree i.e., approx 94% are cross duplicated in Chloe Allen's ped.

Similarly Chloe Allen carries different individuals whose pedigrees cover 88% of Turanza Bale's pedigree within 5 gens i.e., 14 out 16 lines https:/ CLICK HERE are covered within 5 gens.

Chloe creates similar high percentage intensity with Bombastic Shiraz.

So if your broods damline has been successful when either Brett Lee, Turanza Bale or Bombastic Shiraz(among others), was put over them, then there's a decent chance of breeding a city grade type if a son of Fernando was put over them.

What I've found tho is that every gen you go back up the sireline with these dams such as Chloe Allen in this case, attached to them, the less chance you have of breeding a champion. IOW Chloe will throw champions when she's in the first dams position however is unlikely to throw that quality when relying on her as a 2nd dam (grandsire's dam), such as with a son of Fernando. She can still be behind group class types but unlikely champions UNLESS the immediate dam, in this case Millie Grace can create similar high intensity with a sire that was previously successful with the brood bitches damline as what Chloe created with previous sires successful in the brood bitches damlines as the dam of Fernando Bale.

g/l with your bitch m8.

Cheers Werty, I get your drift and know you focus on more the dam speculation rather than what a new sire would cross well with.

Braschy throws a wide net over possible matches with a new sire and all angles do have merit, but that might create some intrest and get a few pups on the ground (maybe enough to get a trend) but with Jamella Jet having only the two litters on the ground it will be hard in a competitive market to get a foothold.

Looking at Malfoy he throws a beauty in Dashing Corsair from 99 pups on GD is that an Avenue that people might consider? having a brood with these lines.

I'm not sure why Malfoy wasnt used more but anyway I'll give JJ a chance and having some close crosses shown in testmating is something I've never done and look forward to the result.

Ouch!

Now read it again carefully. lol.

The whole point of 'dam speculation' as you put it is to chose a sire that suits the brood, not reinvent the wheel and not play the nos game simply because it creates too much wastage as we've seen in the past.

That's not to say JJ wont be a really successful sire but his dam needs to step up to the plate by creating nicks with sires that have been successful with a brood bitches damline previously.

That's also not to say his sires dam Chloe wont do the job instead either, but wldn't you want to know logically, exactly where that intensity is coming from ? That's all I'm saying. Once you know that, you can keep going back to that same nick(not sire) time and time again with any sire's dam that creates that same nick?

If you look thru a bitches damline that you intend to breed from and identify the best pup that damline has thrown I'm happy to go thru what I mean with any sire you like for her. Perhaps PM me if you wish. Cheers m8.
