I was using a well known brand of powdered vitamins it was only when I started using ( Black Tar)then after a few weeks of using it I noticed a big change in my dogs . I wouldnt use any thing else now . I get over 10 months use per dog for each 1 lt bottle where the synthetic powder was costing me 3 times the amount for the same time use . Cheers Donna Mick

Had some phone calls messages from people with frightening links to synthetic vitamin supplements. A good one is Are Synthetic Supplements Bad for Dogs by Dr Eliseo
Guallar.

A recent question I received was can I use the rest of my F With Black Tar. My answer was the quicker you dump your synthetic product the quicker your dogs kidneys , liver will improve..If you haven't read the report please do.People need to understand greyhounds should not be fed all these synthetic and unproven products.

The biggest threat to greyhound health is trainers throwing unbalance combinations of certain vitamins and minerals into their dogs feed.Beware.make sure you read Robyn Black's post and the link.

We are much happier since we moved to black tar, and away from synthetic vitamins, we've had no kidney or liver trouble since. The doctors testiments regarding synthetic vitamins are quite frightening.

There is always another side to opinions

4 Benefits of Synthetic Nutrients
Bioavailability. Bioavailable refers to a form of a nutrient that is readily available for use by your body. Potency. The purpose of a supplement is to efficiently provide your body with high doses of a nutrient in a small volume (like a single capsule).
Efficiency.
Purity.

Greyhound Supplements are mainly non Synthetic.
5 gram of a Vitamin Mineral Supplement is generally formulated from several ingredients, therefore it is highly unlikely there will be a large volume of any one ingredient.
Supplements are only used to insure against deficiencies within the diet.
As such Supplements are formulated to provide approx 25% of the daily requirement.

Should there be a synthetic Vitamin within a formula it will generally be in such a minute amount.

Too much of anything in life is not healthy, Everything in moderation.

No Jack it doesn't mean little to me.
As there are many GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) Businesses, that I might add are legal entities, not all may produce products as pure as others.
A decade or so ago APVMA ventured to China to seek Vitamin and Mineral producing plants that were exporting products to Australia that were substandard, some ingredients effected by ecoli.
Currently APVMA have Authorised Businesses in China approved to export to Australia.

APVMA are a Government body with an important role to play in Agriculture, Racing, Veterinary, and Primary Production Industries.
I have found them to be very helpful and easy to deal with.
