It's the principle of the fact that he is a freshman sire and be it talented race dog that mean jack in breeding terms. There are so many attributes he may or may not pass on for one. If people want to pay $5000 be my guest. People have short memories they were making comparisons between El grand senor and Brett lee at one stage and he is a good producer, not a super sire but how many are. Now fernando bale is the next Brett lee? One thing against him is he is half outcrossed so no one can tell how that will react with our Australian lines (not wheelers lines is we a massive difference with outcross and his lines compared to the norm. But all that aside I don't think it's fair dinkum that price! What's the difference in holding off until his first lot hit the tracks? Very little at that price, let everyone else prove him, see what he throws, even if he was to go up a $1100 and you got your mating right!
Also what used to be a 1 pup return policy seems no longer so is you spend such a fe and get 1 pup you've just bed a $7500 pup if someone Whelped for you or $5000 hell I'd even let someone else breed with him and buy from litters that people are selling as in this market $$$$ let someone else do the hard work.

I just think it's pretty straight forward, this is the best dog on paper in the World. So based on that he should be demanding top $
If I owned him I would want to make as much as possible

For discussion !!! Please no criticism
How about $4400
Why?
Brazen Beau (the race horse) and considered one of Aussie Best is going to stand at an introductory fee of $Au440000
Brazen Beau was Stud syndicated reportedly for $Au20m, who knows Fernando's price, but assume $Au2m
Using the "for discussion analogy" of 10% of $44k for Brazen Beau wouldn't it be reasonable, Fernando's introductory fee to be $Au4400?

Where's pedro I don't know what he started at but I believe it wasn't $3300 until he was proven as he was playing second fiddle to hallucinate for a spell!
Brett lee wel he was a level above but I recall someone saying he started at $2750.
And collision he was $2200 long after he had sired multiple group winners. But you are talking a time when the industry was thriving and also the need for compete effectively stud prices were a must based in ability of sites that were producing.
Paul wheeler owes no one anything and going by the pricing of his sites he is happy to take all he can get! Sorry as I said not a display of gratitude for good fortune in my eyes and hardly a positive for the industry!

I cant see any problems with the sire fee if fb is performing like he is now when these pups are ready for sale the breeder will surely recoop their money and some, personally if he was mine I wouldn't be letting any straw go without approving which brood it was going to as I would only be using him on proven broods at this stage of his career,I don't know why Paul Wheeler owes anything to the industry I am sure he had to do a lot of hard work to get where he is and what his got

From my understanding these straws are only available to group producing broods.

Some people live upside down. They like to talk out their backsides and the only thing that comes out of their mouths is crap.
if you don't support the dog then don't post any more on this topic and I think there has been a WORLD RECORD SET OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS ...
I believe this record cannot be beat .....GUESS WHAT IT IS ....

ISo let me digest that? His straws are only available to proven group producing broods and if they produce group or city class dogs to fernando bale his price will most likely rise upon the catch phrase "fernando bale champion dog, champion producer" "fernando bale is throwing rockets" " fernando bale produces class dogs in his first few litters" Ummmmm so the bitch who had already thrown group or city class bitches couldn't be the reason behind it? Could they really think that people are going to believe that ?????? Well of course they must! Other wise he would be made available to any bitch?
I wish the dog the best all round on the track and in the breeding barn? But that's a double edged sword if he doesn't produce to proven producers and if it was that simple as deer mining Which bitch produces to which stud dog we would all be rich and have the fastest dogs in a line of 8 and races would be decided by a photo every time? If that is the case it's humorous!
A recap, stud fee $3300, only available to proven producers, that's even more generous and humble an act than I first thought!
Yes grant you quoted my quote but you missed the previous one and failed to see the intent in that one as well, it's called being facetious!
People want to support the dog but do they agree with his fee or some of the tactics being used to try and ensure a result? Obviously like all people they will use such a dog if he proves himself or before if needed, but most likely wouldn't be happy paying such a fee!
It was only a short while ago where one of the biggest breeders vowed to never use stud dogs from a certain stud master up until that stud master had a stud dog that this brewer wanted. It simply proves that all issues aside, people will still do business when they need, likes or dislikes, business is business and money is money!
Opinions to the contrary are just as valuable as ones that support, it's called freedom of speech!

Freedom of speech you say well it is one thing to insult someone and there dog but to continually to come out and try to defend your statements on 14 posts is looking like a case of insanity .
I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an ass of yourself. Oscar Wilde

This thread is now closed due to the current arguments and scenarios based on fiction & probabilities. These arguments are obviously pointless to most, and unwarranted. This thread will reopen tomorrow night where Fernando Bale will be completing in the Bendigo Cup Heats. Do not start another topic on Fernando Bale.

This thread has now been reopened. Lets concentrate on Fernando Bale's "Racing career" & not bicker over his "Service fee", until retirement draws near.

One thing for sure is he is producing good positive publicity for the sport that is definetely required at present. Good article in today's Sydney's Sunday Telegraph. Wish him all the best for tonight.
