Triangles have angles, and balls dangle, no one, or thing is perfect, pretty weak response by knockers!

I'm not knocking the dog, just saying he's not the only option. There's plenty of good sires that will suit certain broodies better than him

Dixie isn't saying anything against anyone using any other sire. Except that if you want the Best, go to the Best! Your bitch, do the homework.

He's running at 17% 'did run in major/feature races' in here which is outstanding for an Aussie sire that has a large number of offspring. It's not the be all and end all but it's a good pointer.

Suggesting that % Should change when the sample size increases is like apples and oranges. Aust metro figures greyhound recorder say that other stud dogs have a better winners to starters ratio and others have a higher $ to starters value. Has any body done the numbers of misses to services % or even average number of pups per litter And despite wot is said earlier if you breed a litter it is not unreasonable to expect to have a litter that has complete dogs

I note that you have no less than 18 posts from page 50 of this thread espousing your undying love of this dog and then suggest others are repetitive and wait there is one more post in which you accuse the writer of knocking because you dont agree with wot is said

Name a sire who is better than him to back up your arguments to the statement he isn't the greatest sire on the planet. I'll go as far as to say he's probably in the top 5 in history.
I'm the first to admit I'm an unashamed fan of the dog. Likewise I understand he has his faults but honestly the facts don't lie. His ability to produce Group class progeny is the best since Temlee.

He's a great sire.....no doubt about it
But a big call....better than Brett Lee or Head Honcho or even better than his own grandsire Gable Dodge?
All were worldwide successes siring Group dogs and establishing sireline branches in every greyhound jurisdiction on the globe

I believe Fernando Bale will be a better broody sire than both Head Honcho and Brett Lee. Early days for his broody daughters but the signs are ominous !!!!

Fernando bale metro strike rate 17% earnings per starter 575 Aston deebee metro strike rate 21% earnings per starter 598 Fernandos stud misses nearly 5% and no one gives a rats Aston dee bees stud misses nearly 10% but is now being managed Kc and all has a higher winning strike rate as does my redeemer
Based on figures from jan 1 this year. One costs 7700 and is found to be funny if the dog lacks a couple of thing. The other availabes dont cost 7700 and are available at all greyhound vets. Say what you want these numbers dont lie

Classic stuff, ADB is a better sire than FB. Now I've heard it all.

Have you ever trained a Fernando Bale pup Paul?

Everyone is going to have a differing opinion on Fernando Bale depending on their personal experience, there's no right or wrong answer with greyhound sires
I'll be honest, I'm not big on Fernando Bale, but I also don't particularly care for Mepunga Blazer, Ritza Lenny, DDO, Spring Gun, Zambora Brockie. Yet I'd use Aston Dee Bee, Beast Unleashed or even Whiskey Riot or Fernando blaster
It's not people singling out Fernando bale, just like any sire they have good and bad traits and it'll depend on what people have experienced on what they think

The problem is that when a mating fails its a lot easier to blame the sire and not your darling broody that you probably bred reared and raced and possibly her mummy and her mummy !
