Well supported by the Gov't. As I once wrote, it's amazing what can be achieved when you have the support of the Gov't. The same filthy Gov't tried to wipe us out! They lost three State Seats as a result of their attempt.

Will we ever see such a report done in N.S.W. under a Coalition Government ?
IMO no we won't because the report would highlight the positive impact the Greyhound Industry has on the economy and state revenue.

The health and social benefits of greyhound racing are enormous compared to playing poker machines. Those similar words were used in the 2012 / 2013 Upper House Inquiry into greyhound racing in NSW. Nothing has changed.

Yet, in 2015 / 2016 Troy Grant and his associates directly or indirectly damaged the reputation of participants and the brand so that greyhound racing could be banned. I suggest that the Gov't never even read the entire McHugh Report and as a result Mike Baird and Troy Grant were left in an embarrassing position and `back-flipped' on their original decision.

Then, the industry was left in a constricted state, whilst t-bred industry was allowed to flourish. Troy Grant was heard to say on radio a couple of months before the announcement to ban greyhound racing in NSW, that there was no better time to breed with your mare. As far as I am aware, not one T-bred track has closed since whenever! I believe he and Vlandys are currently involved in Racing NSW and NRL.

We are only a blimp on their radars for their wealth and greed, but we have a place on it even if we have to fight all the way to the end. Govts are not the answer and sometimes, the problem. However, when you get a good politician, stick with him/her.

Who maintains the facility? GBOTA or Trust? Absolutely unacceptable for an A1 track.

Trails cancelled at Appin this morning due to a staff member illness, a lot of unhappy trainers

Notice put on Facebook at 6am

A lot of older trainers don't use Facebook, so many of them turned up to the track to find the gates closed

Surely, the GBOTA would have back up staff to assist if one person was sick

Sandro...the timer has not worked at Appin for about 3 months (could even be longer).

The new lure system was going to be up and operating before Easter. STILL WAITING.

All the above is true

Appin has basically been running 40% scheduled trials and with no timer for at least 3 months

So basically its been in non existence

No mention of the new you beaut Richmond track being closed a fortnight ago for a week after every second dog was bleeding or cracking hocks

I just trialed 4 of mine with 2 cracked fibulars and 1 pin and all 4 bleeding from stoppers and nails

10 min after I trialed they cancelled all meetings and said use at own precaution !

Well done , and yet another example having something great and replacing it with different cheaper materials and coming up with zero welfare for our dogs

Really enjoyed losing 75 percent of my stock on what was apparently an upgrade ?

Pigs arse and no idea all round

Fair enough to say its a good time to get out of Sydney , what have they got , Bathurst ? (Graveyard ) and bulli !

Unbelievable is an understatement

The timing system has been waiting for Brooks to connect. The wiring has been in place for months. The rail has a big kink up near the winning post which needs to be re done looks like an amateur built it.If u dont want anything to happen employ the GBOTA to ensure nothing happens.
