But that cloud of doubt over his positives will loom larger still unfortunately. I think breaking a few soft Track Records will help his reputation, but it won't completely exonerate him.

Hi Mark,

Another track record down at Nowra last night at 29.28 seconds. Sure he had conditions to suit, but he made the most of them and ran a track record time. He's a very classy dog.

Not sure 3 dog fields count as Track Records. Brilliant time though.

He was always a champ to me Victor, the dog has done nothing worthy of criticism, more worthy of praise & most contributors to the forum obviously agree..Just took a short time to adapt to the Matics training & they have done a great job under pressure.
Last 4 starts 4 wins- 3 best of day.
Looking forward to seeing his future efforts.

Are u kidding me what cloud of doubt the level was insanely low no way could it affect his performances.Im happy to use him and hope the borders open up so he can travel and win more big races.

I'm sure it didn't, but the stud game is a very fickle one.

Im very aware of the fickleness of the stud scene and also the blinkers some people have also.I have registered my dog Midnight Monarch at stud now and am happy to try my luck.I know Im a small player but he will be given every opportunity as I am sure Wow will too and being neighbours with Ruth and Danielle I have every confidence in them and the superstar dog.

Mark it was an excellent win indeed.

As an aside, and just my opinion, the race once again highlighted what is "wrong" with NSW grading, i.e. a dog of Wow's (and others in the race) standing, can be classified as - 5th grade? (or was it simply a typo error re the race's grade?).

David Wow had not raced or won over 350 ms at that Track so i'm assuming thats why he was graded 5th grade over that distance.

Mark, that's my point. Completely understand why he was graded as a 5th grade under the Grading rules, but does it make the system correct? In theory, you could have won your maiden last week and the grading system could have you racing a dog of the calibre of Wow this week.

*Nothing against Wow nor the Matic's (or any other dog or their connections), simply the system.

I would say its a FFA field, Roman Remiss won a FFA at Track and distance recently so 5th grade must be an error imo !

Mark, no dramas, I thought so myself, but where NSW grading is concerned nothing surprises me.
