Does this scenario happen often, weekly monthly quarterly ?

Is there such a perfect grading system existing in other states ?

Dulceira connections are true blue battlers, its good to see them with a good racer

Branko I sympathise but this topic is a storm in a tea cup.
QR overall doing a good job IMO

Unfortunately it happens more than you'd think ,
For example My bitch already faced Group dogs twice in the last few weeks & her trainer has had other dogs with only a handful of race starts to their name that faced Group dogs in grade 5 races , other trainers I've spoken too told me they've been through the same & it's sad when dogs with very limited racing are put up against Group dogs

Let's cut to the chase. You can't say Queensland racing is a "basket case" because, one ordinary, five year old, 100/1 shot bitch unfortunately met up with a Group class dog in a 5th grade. Typical dog bum whinging at it's worst.

That comment is pure arrogance,
There was more than 1 Group dog in that race & more than 1 dog that was 100/1 in that field , there is trainers in QLD fed up having their dogs that have had only a handful of starts facing Group dogs in Grade 5 races & those poor dogs are used by RQ to make up feld numbers which is the point of this thread not my bitch , I doubt most QLD based trainers agree that the grading system is fair there.

So Group winners immediately Graded out of 5th Grade events - what about the Vimce Curry winner or does that not suit the narrative?

Wade ,
Vince Curry is different due to the winner of that race coming out out of maiden racing , I was talking about seasoned Group dogs not pups at the start of their career.

I've checked the rules in each state and every one has a similar policy. Winning a Group race doesn't mean you lose your 5th grades. This is just a sook from a person who sent an ordinary aged dog north thinking they could win some easy money and found out it was harder than they thought.

Not that it's any of your business but she was sent to QLD to race due to still having the desire to race & i never expected any easy money, it's a known fact regular grade 5 dogs can't match it with Group dogs you Fool, when you have an ordinary dog as you put it it's not much to expect to race against other non Group dogs & unlike you I believe in fair fields , in nsw the only time Group dogs get put in a grade 5 race is if they're completely out of form or are older over 4 years old from what I've seen unlike QLD who put in their prime Group dogs in grade 5 races , funny how my young dog in nsw faces fair fields (no Group dogs), NSW is head & shoulders better in terms of Grading , I have my opinion & you have yours let's leave it at that.

Approx 10 years ago at Warragul we had a 2 win bitch at her 4th start drawn against a dog whose previous start before spell was to win the Melb Cup fortunately we drew box 6 & it the one & yes we didnt win it.

It was having its first start at Warragul.

Later there was rumoured to be a in house punters club which was giving a top trainer preferential box 1 draws, only a rumour but bums were moved.

I have raced in Nsw, Vic, Canberra, Tassie, South Aust, WA & Darwin.

Nothing is perfect.

Im happy to race in Qld.

Hi Cyril ,
Fair enough , NSW & Vic are head & shoulders better racing & grading wise compared to QLD imo
