Well done Robynne, well done Imposing Jet.

CLICK HERE
Robynne experienced her greatest moment in Greyhound racing last night at Townsville when her very smart bitch "Imposing Jet" took out the "Young Guns final" in a very fast 29.17, the second fastest time of the year.

Checked shortly after box rise "Jet" having only her third race start was not to be denied and quickly shot to the front and proceeded to open up a huge gap eventually winning by 13 lenghts.

Robynne realises that opportunity knocks very rarely in our sport and plans to send "Jet" to a very well known Melbourne trainer who also happens to be a friend and confidant.

Wishing you the very best of luck Robynne.

Thank you so much Pat :-) and yes congrats to you for breeding her mother Compliant.
(except for the fact she steals my spot when I leave my bed lol)

You know just how much this meant to me after what I went through with the Maiden Series when I know she was going to run some serious time that night even over the short distance before the lure stopped ( the first time ! ).
When she crossed the line on Tuesday night my legs were jelly, probably from holding my breath haha

She is definitely showing us she is promising at just over 20 months of age and it was nice to see her prove she is a determined character and is taking the hiccups she has endured in her stride.
Her short prep for this was not ideal by any means, so I hope she will flourish under Tom's care.

I am looking forward to seeing what she can do in the future, however letting her go won't be easy by any means !! I will most likely take her down myself and spend a bit of time to see her settle in - she is a bit of a "mummy's girl" as you know.

But it will probably be more a case of me missing her not the other way around I imagine LOL fickle buggers ..

Thanks everyone for your congrats, it is such an awesome feeling and makes me look forward to the next litter breaking in as well as Pat's & my Premier Fantasy's who are coming along so nicely.

regards

Robynne

Sorry Robynne but forgot to mention your earlier winner "Vivacity"

CLICK HERE
So was a very big night indeed.

In passing to those fans of breeding "Jet" once again emphasises the potent Malawi Prince cross, and in her case 3 x 3.

Not everyones cup of tea, but an example of what can be achieved by those willing to gamble.

Also a great example of the "Old breeders Axiom"

Cheers.

Well done Robynne!
You must be very proud.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier, but we do still have Tokay with us but haven't done anything with her as yet.
She's a lovely girl.
Best of luck with all of yours.
Cheers,
Donna

Yes thanks Pat 2 for 2 - the Aunt & Niece team :-)
As for the 3 X 3 MP cross - I do hope Jett & her sisters prove the gamble to be the right one.
I've done the best I can to give them the best chance.
The Western sisters should be making their debut very soon, I cannot wait to see how little Ticka goes !

Robynne

Imposing Jet won again tonight for Robynne in 29.02 improving on her previous best & i think the fastest run of the year thus far.

Good luck Rob, you deserve it.

Thank you Pat, I did not see your reply to this thread.

We are extremely pleased that Jett has now just turned 21 months of age this week (lucky 13 lol ) and has won 6 from her 7 starts and yes run the quickest time over the 498m in Townsville for at least this year.

She has not had it her own way not mentioning with the fact that she travels a 7 hour round trip drive each of these events. At every start she has put in her absolute best efforts for her spot and has currently started out of Boxes 1,2,3 (third out of Box 3 in Young Guns Heats after getting turned sideways ) 4,5,7 ( 7 was a Maiden Final - no race due to lure breakdown when she was about 7 in front) and last night ran 29.15 out of Box 8. We could not be prouder of this girl and a harder chaser we could only hope to ever find again, we simply could not ask for more.

We are not sure of our next step with Jett, as being a northern bred and reared girl we & Tom are all apprehensive about how she may handle the southern weather at this stage so we are trying to work out our next step...

Thanks again Pat, I know it's only a TAB track but she is giving us the biggest thrill of our lives.
As we all know when they win one some are happy but then win a few some are not so nice - but we have some staunch supporters of our girl. Of course to win 5 in succession is completely a dream run but we also know that a high like this brings you closer to a loss which we are sure will make some people happy.

Those that know me know I am not a " I'm going to win tonight" person, it's always a dog race where I keep my feet firmly on the ground and only hope my "kids" run safely whilst racing that is my biggest concern - I am an absolute nervous wreck lol . To date with Jett it's as I said a dream run and I also know it does not last forever..

regards
Robynne

Edited to say our girl " Vivacity " on her last start running 3rd has dropped a calf muscle and will not return to racing and has been retired for breeding. We are currently tossing up on whether to go to Surf Lorian or Where's Pedro for her first breeding venture.

Well done Robynne, it must be an amazing feeling. Such a pity to hear there are folks out there that want to see you fail if you start to have too much success. Best wishes, Gary.

My beautiful girl Jett passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in late 2021 at 13 years and 2 weeks from a sudden spleen infection.

I will miss her for the rest of my days , she meant the absolute world to me and I loved her so very much.
