Welcome to everything Tasmanian with Simon the Likeable EXTERNAL LINK
This thread is dedicated to the forgotten state, Tasmania, where you can get tips on Devonport, Launceston and Hobart Dogs. Info on how the Apple crops are faring, which is the better drop, Boags or Cascade and to quote from the former North Melbourne coach Dennis Pagan what it's like to dance with your sister. Ask Simon anything and everything he's very obliging.
(Thread started as Simon has a lot to say but no real place to say it, so he bobs up on various other threads plus he has a tendency to go missing and the "where the fuckarewe" call goes out for him to make contact)
Thankyou for your time - Mockers Macwollie

pmsl that photo's hilarious...................will never forget Get Smart's funniest character ever.......absolutely brilliant !

wasn't it Max's mother, mother in law, or grandmother who knocked him out with her handbag after Simon ran past her and knocked all the change out of her hand for the 3rd time and smiled ? WHACK !

my question to STL or HBM(hill billy Milgate)as he now calls himself is:

i havent sighted the yellow bellied sap sucker(brown speckles with gold chest) this spring.......normally a bird of the eastern states, thought they may have migrated to Tassie with the other brown and gold birds - any sightings on the farm Simon ?

Boags is like an angel pissing on your tonsils.

Cascade is like Oprah Winfrey shitting down your throat.

I used to manage this place. I'm sure Jethro would have been here and bought a pancake for $12.50.

I was out in the farm Ron. Had 120 workers in the peak season, about 65 international backpackers.
On Australia Day we put on a Barbie, listened to classic Aussie rock and had a game of backyard cricket. The Koreans and Japanese had no friggin idea what cricket was so the Pommy sheila opened the batting for the international team. Coming off the long run, J.Quinlivian steamed in and bowled a bean ball which was supposed to be an off cutter and collected her in the guts. Dropped her like a bag of spuds. The Koreans weren't too keen to bat after that but there was nothing to fear as Quinlivian tore his hamstring to shreds while showing off with his 45 step run up.
The game was in twenty20 format. The internationals were bowled out for 18. The Aussies reached the target with 112 balls to spare.
Both teams then mingled over a cold Boags and a few burnt chops.
Some of the internationals suggested a game of soccer.
They were swiftly told that it was Australia Day and such talk could end in termination of employment. We spoke glowingly about Australian rules football, openly declaring it to be the best game in the world. A few weeks later, I took a couple of internationals to York Park, Launceston to see the NAB cup game between Hawthorn and Richmond. The Hawks were 75 points up at half time so we left.
The internationals smirked as they discussed how boring the 'best game in the world' was.
Bastards, they had a point.

The mighty Tiges were warming up right in front of us.
Kick to kick from about 30m and little run throughs.
Saw Jake King miss his target twice and Dean Polo drop a chest mark.
Back in the day Huss, my coach would have made us do sprints if we couldn't f***in get it right.

I'm sure Jethro knows exactly how much they're worth Ryser.
That thread is advertising by stealth.
I might start one soon called 'how much will you give me to rear your pups?'

Simon the likable. I would have suggested The "Belties" (Belted Galways) for you and Tassie's climate. Small breed, easy to handle. Scottish breed used to the inclement Tassie weather.IMHO only Huss.

Get in quick with Quinny: Will fill up quickly with Bale dogs!
