It's time that we all stood up and demanded that all Governments come to the aid of Aged Care and lift it out of the abyss that it has unfortunately been allowed to sink too. Everybody deserves to age with dignity and proper care, staff shortages are at pandemic standards, those that work there, deserve gold medals as they are heavily overworked and underpaid as the lack of support is disgraceful. Governments can suddenly find $billions to fund Olympic Games which helps the mostly already Government supported athletes and loses multi millions on a 2 week PR extravaganza, that disrupts business and the citizens of the locations and in the end, helps very few. Aged Care is in a state of disrepair and is a total disgrace, we MUST fix this and the time to act is NOW!!! Remember, we all age and this is OUR FUTURE!!!

Thanks boys, we could all call one of them home in the not to distant future.
My daughters visited my wife on tuesday and the 2 staff were run off their feet, the girls jumped in and helped them out by helping feed their mother and a couple of others to allow the nurses to get on top of it. This is a high quality facility costing an arm and a leg, so just imagine how the average place faring. It is a disgrace!!!
I haven't even mentioned the last day I was there and an old bloke who had completely lost it needed to go to the toilet, the nurses were away tending another resident, so he dropped his gear and emptied out all over the carpet. (&@#$@$)
